Real Portugal experience
Strategy and sequence set by someone who has guided this for several clients.
Strategic counsel and coordination for clients building a life, a business, or an investment base in Portugal, drawing on real experience with several Portuguese matters and a working network of Portuguese counsel.
Portugal has been a primary destination for Israeli clients building a foothold in Europe, and the firm has accompanied several through real-estate acquisition, business formation, and investment in the country, working with Portuguese counsel. The landscape has changed and the change matters: since the 2023 reform, buying property in Portugal no longer grants residency, so the property decision and the residency decision are now two separate questions that have to be handled, and kept apart, deliberately. The firm leads and coordinates that; Portuguese counsel performs the in-country work.
The firm brings the experience of real Portuguese matters to set the strategy and the sequence, and it keeps the client current on a landscape that has shifted - property no longer buys residency, and the old NHR tax regime is closed to new arrivals, so neither can be assumed. It coordinates the Portuguese counsel and advisers who carry out the acquisition, the formation, and any filings. It holds the Israeli-side strategy and the cross-border exposure; the in-country execution is local counsel's work.

Property no longer grants residency, and old tax assumptions no longer hold; both are planned for what they are now.
Portuguese counsel and advisers coordinated to execute, with one Israeli-side lead.
An Israeli client building a base in Portugal instructs the firm to lead. The firm sets the strategy, separates the property decision from the residency decision in light of the current rules, maps the cross-border tax and obligation exposure, and coordinates the Portuguese counsel who carry out the acquisition and formation on the ground.

No; since the 2023 reform, the real-estate route to Portuguese residency by investment was removed, so a property purchase and a residency application are now separate decisions that have to be planned independently.
The firm leads and coordinates the strategy from the Israeli side, drawing on real experience and a Portuguese network, and Portuguese counsel performs the in-country acquisition, formation, and filings.
Not by default; the former NHR regime is closed to new arrivals, so the tax position has to be modelled under the current rules with a tax adviser rather than assumed from how Portugal was marketed in earlier years.
